Smoke Break: Lush, "Sweetness & Light"

Ah, the early 90's "shoegazing" bands out of England. I don't know why I've been having flashbacks to my misspent youth, but for whatever reason, I've been cycling through bands like Lush, Ride, Chapterhouse, My Bloody Valentine, and Slow Dive lately. Actually, most in these bands resented the label and with good reason. They did a lot more than just stare at their shoes while playing.

I saw Lush at the infamous Cotton Club (with Ride) in Atlanta back when, and they were simply phenomenal. This was the first single from their first album "Gala" in 1990. To old friends reading: was this almost 20 years ago? Yikes.
